Throughout September, the BeBot was located at Long Point Provincial Park on the shores of Lake Erie as part of the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup! During its stay, we collaborated with Norfolk County, where their mascot, Scout, joined our team for a beach cleanup and waste sorting.
We were also thrilled to engage more than 75 students and teachers from Port Rowan Public School. Students had the opportunity to see the BeBot in action, sort through the waste collected, and learn about the impacts of plastic pollution on our Great Lakes.
Thank you to all of the students, volunteers, collaborators and park staff who helped make the BeBot’s stay at Long Pont such a memorable success!
