BeBot Demonstration at Darlington Provincial Park

On October 10, 2025, we were thrilled to welcome the Honourable Todd McCarthy, Ontario Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and Acting Minister of Infrastructure, to Darlington Provincial Park for a hands-on demonstration of the BeBot, Canada’s first beach-cleaning robot, as part of our Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup. In addition to the Minister testing the device, we discussed the importance of community engagement and education in helping to reduce plastic pollution in the environment.

A special thank you to the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and Ontario Parks for their tremendous partnership and support this season. The BeBot has proven to be a powerful tool in tackling plastic pollution, helping us better understand the types and sources of debris found on beaches and shorelines.
