Ruth Kiro

Ruth joined Pollution Probe in January 2023 and holds the position of senior Lead, Energy Research and Analysis.

Ruth has years of experience in energy and climate change-mitigation topics from the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection and the public utility of electricity. She formulated new policies based on acts, policies, papers and regulations from the world to address environmental issues.

Ruth holds a PhD in Life Sciences and an MSc and a BSc in Environmental Sciences. She participated in the Environmental Science and Policy Fellowship Program (“Mimshak”), of the Israel Society of Ecology and Environmental Sciences. Ruth believes in challenging our habits in order to achieve net zero emissions, as we are not under the privilege of not acting toward a sustainable future.
