Nova Scotia Power – Green Power
Nova Scotia Power launched a Green Power marketing program in
late 2002. By the end of 2003, over 350 of the company's 350,000
residential customers were participating. The Green Power Program
offers 125 kWh blocks of EcoLogo-certified Green Power at a price
of $5 over and above the standard electricity price. As the program
has not seen any significant uptake over the past few years, Nova
Scotia Power has decided to wind it down and will eventually cease
offering green power to its customers, concentrating instead on
contracting independent power producers to raise the overall share
of Green Power in the province.

Green Power Certificates
There are currently no Green Power Certificate programs in Nova
Scotia.
