Is there a Green Power Strategy for Canada?
Between October 2003 and April 2004, Pollution Probe and the Summerhill
Group organized a series of workshops across the country to assess
the potential for Green Power sources to meet Canada's electricity
needs. The series engaged more than 300 experts in Green Power,
electricity generation and policy development, and included representatives
from government agencies, utilities, the private sector, academia
and non-governmental organizations. It also included participants
from countries that are leading Green Power development. Out of
that series of working sessions came A
Green Power Vision and Strategy for Canada, a blueprint setting
out how Canada can capitalize on its significant Green Power potential
and drive the transition to cleaner electricity.
