BC Hydro – Green Power Certificates
BC Hydro's Green Power Certificates program was launched in September 2002. The program is for business and institutional customers only. As of 2007, 80 business and institutional customers are participating in the program, with the price set at $15 per certificate, representing the environmental attributes of 1 MWh of Green Power. Certificates are self-certified and audited by KPMG. At present, there is no wind power in the mix.
