CONFERENCE PROGRAMME (PDF format) for June 23-28, 2002

One of the unique features of the Managing Shared Waters conference was its focus on capacity building to address coastal issues. The discussions and presentations on capacity were offered within the context of case examples and related to a wide range of coastal issues.

Each day focused on a specific capacity theme. The mornings consisted of plenary sessions that provided an overview of the day’s theme.   Managing Shared Waters was pleased to announce the following presenters for the Morning Sessions (PDF format).

This was followed by facilitated workshops to define the main issues related to the theme and to make recommendations on capacity building strategies for the international community.

The afternoons served as capacity-building exercises with the presentation of tools, approaches, products and services to be used by participants in their communities.  For an outline of the programme please visit: Afternoon Programme (PDF format).
