Geoengineering & Ethics: Our Failure to Act on Climate Change is the First Breach


In his lecture at Cambridge University’s Solar Radiation Management Science 2015: Engineering the Climate, Duncan McLaren points out, “… all discussion of geoengineering is a sign of our collective ethical failure to achieve adequate progress on climate mitigation.” If humanity allows this breach of ethics, where does it leave our moral compass when faced with geoengineering?
