Technology Demonstration 1:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Speaker Panel of Experts 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Canadian consumer interest in vehicles that consume less fuel and produce fewer emissions is growing. This increasing consumer demand, combined with government policies and programs to reduce vehicle fuel consumption and emissions has led automakers to orient their new model engineering and design agendas around environmental performance, meaning advanced technologies could soon be incorporated into new vehicles.

Join us to find out about new vehicle technologies and to discuss the potential environmental and financial results these technologies can deliver.

No admission fee. Registration is not necessary.

The Ottawa-Gatineau Watershed Atlas (OGWA) Project

The OGWA project funded by GeoConnections is an exciting endeavor that will integrate watershed management on both sides of the Ottawa River in addition to providing a comprehensive public educational tool to improve the management of one of the region’s most valuable resources. The project will take an ecosystem approach, utilizing a watershed boundary, rather than political boundaries, for the inclusion of collaborating partners, data, and information.

Pollution Probe, in collaboration with local partners, is developing a web atlas that will use maps to guide community members through their watershed.  The atlas will take advantage of the sharing, exploration and exchange of geo-spatial data amongst agencies in Ottawa-Gatineau. Alongside the maps contextual discussion in both French and English on water issues will be included in order to raise community awareness and understanding.
